Men’s Health

The Foundation for Men’s Health

We offer treatments specialized for men for issues that can arise from advancing age.
  • Vasculogenic erectile dysfunction
  • Enlarged Prostate
  • Induratio Penis Plastica / Peyronie’s Disease
  • Pelvic floor stabilization
  • Central core stabilization

Erectile dysfunction (ED) which can have many underlying causes, generally linked to underlying health conditions such as Diabetes, renal failure, COPD and vascular disease. Disorders like these can restrict blood flow to the penis. Men typically turn to medications like Viagra to provide temporary solutions.

Extracorporeal shock wave therapy has been used for the treatment of erectile dysfunction (ED) of vascular origin for almost a decade. When treating ED with shock wave therapy, low-intensity shock waves are applied to different treatment zones on the penis and on the perineum (crura).

Focused generated waves improve the blood flow in the penis by dissolving plaque buildup and promoting the formation of new blood vessels (angiogenesis). Unlike medication, this is treating the root cause and can provide lasting effects in patients. If there are external causes of the condition, such as diet and exercise, are addressed, the effects can even be permanent!

Scientific studies have proven the healing success of focused shock waves for these indications. The effectiveness of this modern shock wave equipment is determined by the individually selectable, dynamic and powerful energy range and the therapeutic depth of focus that can be chosen.  Focused shockwave has shown to be effective in reducing mildly to moderately enlarged prostate in men by angiogenesis.

Focused Shockwave Therapy

Shock wave therapy is a non-invasive treatment option. This means that the shock waves are generated outside of the body (extracorporeally) in a therapy system and then travel through the patient‘s skin into the tissue. Depending on the indication, low-energy (soft tissue treatment) or high-energy (lithotripsy) shock waves are applied. Shock waves not only stimulate blood circulation, but they also induce the formation of new capillary blood vessels (angiogenesis). Most importantly, shock waves enhance the release of eNOS (endothelial nitric oxide synthase) and VEGF (vascular endothelial growth factor).

Pelvic Floor Stabilization

Through the aging process, many men experience weakening of the pelvic floor muscles.  These muscles run from the tail bone to the pubis or the front part of the pelvis.  They support structures responsible for urination, defecation and sexual function.  Weak pelvic floor muscles can cause a leaky bladder, poor bowel function and decreased sensation during sexual activities.

Typically, the golden standard to strengthen the muscles of the pelvic floor has been through Kegel exercises that most therapists are trained to teach.

At Trinity Wellness, a high intensity electromagnetic device is purposed to strengthen the pelvic floor muscles.  This energy works through clothing and causes super contraction of the muscles.  Through a number of treatments, the muscles can be strengthened more effectively that Kegel exercises alone.

Central Core Stabilization

Poor posture usually is a result of weak abdominal muscles.  This is also one of the most common causes of low back pain.  The spine acts as a teeter-totter.  Muscles to the back and front create a balance.  Weak abdominals causes a hunching forward posture so that they do not have to work.  But this creates more stress on the back muscles to keep the body erect.    This is known as Lower Crossed Syndrome.

The best way to fix this problem would be to hit the gym.  But there is a faster and more efficient way to build core strength.

truSculpt by Cutera is a system that rapidly build core strength and improve posture.

A second option would be a high intensity electromagnetic field device.
